Interesting places

Just a few photos from when we were returning to Brisbane, we look at free or cheap campsites, we would rather spend the money we save in small towns that need the dollar to survive. Many towns over the years have suffered from the new highways going through and by-passing the towns they used to pass up the main street prior to the change and with the new highway going through other towns will suffer the same. Problem is when they by-pass a town the big businesses build a huge service station with eateries attached right on the highway and this also robs the towns of business.

(Moobul Cafe/Service station, good food good coffee, the owner is a bike enthusiast and has many retro bikes and scooters for sale that has been fully reconditioned.)
(Now that's a bike)
(Some of the stuff inside and the advertising bike outside)
(Gumma Reserve near Macksville, this was at sunset getting the reflections in the river)
(Back in Queensland, this is Wynnum Creek, there are a few boats that do not go up and down with the tide, it is a shame and no authority will do anything about it, Council's responsibility ends at the high water mark and Marine Safety say they do not pose a threat so there is this eyesore)

(A Wharram catamaran at anchor off Manly at first light)
(Wynnum Creek break wall with the same catamaran that had moved up from Manly)
(Seagulls in flight near the break wall)

  1. Hey John
Great Blog. I read it from the buying of the catamaran and some of your history.
Whats your email address? I would like to pump you for some info on the boating costs.
    regards.
